Every community has a place where people come together. A place where kids can learn, families can gather, volunteers can give back, and memories are made for years to come.
For 88 Live To Ride, that place is Matt's Place.
What started as a generous gift of six peaceful acres in West Springfield has become one of the most meaningful projects in our organization's history. Named in honor of Matt Bartosek, Matt's Place represents everything 88 Live To Ride stands for: community, compassion, safety, and giving back.
With the help of dedicated volunteers and generous supporters, we've already made incredible progress. Every improvement brings us one step closer to creating a welcoming destination where educational programs, community events, recreational activities, and family gatherings can thrive.
But there's still work to do.
This year's Erie Gives campaign will help us continue renovating and developing Matt's Place by funding essential building improvements, meeting state required building codes, preparing the property for public use, and creating safe, functional spaces that will serve our community for generations to come.
On Erie Gives Day 2026, your gift goes even further. Thanks to the Erie Community Foundation's Bonus Bucks Pool, every eligible donation receives a proportional match, increasing the impact of your generosity.
When you support 88 Live To Ride through Erie Gives, you're not just making a donation. You're helping build a permanent home where our mission can continue to grow, families can come together, and Matt's legacy can inspire future generations.
